Joe Maurone: '...extraverts seem to think the answer is "Oh, you're introverted? We can fix that, you just need a night out on the town with ME!" '
Few things will boil my Sicilian blood so quickly.

That has happened to me on numerous occasions; well-meaning friends contrive some graceless plot to draw me "out of my shell", usually having the opposite effect.  The last time I fell prey to such a plot, I blasted the arch conspirator so severely and completely (in front of a group of his friends, most of whom I had only just met) that we've not spoken since (~18 mos. ago).  Ironically, as I was walking away from this group I heard one of his friends say, "I thought you said she was shy!"

The test said that I'm the finest piece of arse this side of Chipping Norton, that my perfect foxtrot partner is Nancy Reagan and that I should pursue a career in wild animal husbandry.

I think that's all pretty accurate...

I don't think I've seen anybody here so far with my pattern:

Extraversion:  very low
Agreeableness:  quite high
Conscientiousness:  extremely high
Emotional stability:  average
Openness:  average

Joe's idea of trying to "cure" extraverts cracked me up!  Although I usually enjoy being around them (less work for me).

OK, that was fun.  I'm going back to my book now.

I missed this poll the first time around. My scores (with comments):

Extraversion: 50
(I often call myself an extraverted introvert. I think it depends on how much free time I have and my stress levels. The more free time and less stress, the more extraverted I am.)

Agreeableness: 98
(Yeah, I can be agreeable to a fault.)

Conscientiousness: 93
(I wish I were a 100! Then I wouldn't be so stressed and thus be more extraverted.)

Emotional Stability: 84
(I find that the older I get, the more tolerant I am of life's hassles. Life's too short to get worked up or upset by the "small stuff.")

Openness to Experience: 97
(I am definitely high on the artsy side of life. A life as an artist--most likely musician/songwriter or writer--would have been my first calling if I thought I could make a living at it.)
