| | I do get the "unavailable" idea. As I said in an earlier post, once I have met or interacted with someone beyond a certain point, I have them categorized as either available or unavailable. Co-workers, friends and relatives fit in this category, unless I have never before met them, or the issue has remained open and obviously so from the get-go. Since I have never met Jodie Foster, for me, she remains available until otherwise catalogued. I assume you are either thinking "Jodie Foster, hmm.., ah, but gay, so no..." Or you are thinking "Jodie Foster - gay. Of course not!" For me, there is a subtle but important distinction between these two, in that I really don't care about the label, so the first trail of thought might be one I'd accept as an unfortunate truth, but the second trail of thought would be unnatural to me.
In any case, once I do come to the conclusion that someone is unavailable, they are incest - off limits. This is very necessary for men who are attracted to men, for obvious reasons that I am sure men who are repulsed by the idea of men can be thankful for.
This leads me to another observation, that for me, with women, the default option is always "maybe until proven no,' while with men the default option is always "no, unless proven maybe."
As for Rock Hudson and Doris Day, there's a lot of baggage. I'd consider why so many young girls fell for that Sanjaya. Thanks,
Ted
