I've been away from the computer for nearly a week and have barely checked Solo, so I hope people have not been endlessly 'masticating' and failing to let die this incredibly silly tempest in a teapot.
Forgive me if I'm repeating anything already said in the last week (haven't had time to read the past posts), but:
Of the list of overreactions, the one by the people -leaving- Solo from David E. to anyone married to him or his friends in solidarity (Jennifer? Jason?) because of something this trivial, silly, and minor is by far the one most unreasonable of any of the players. It's (almost) on the level of: "I'm going to take my ball and not play and give up any related values because someone insulted me or disrespected me or my friend. And on top of which I'm never going to speak to you again."
2. Linz as editor / "there is a lot of dross in [the article queue] that I'm going to clean out":
I'm glad to see this. Jason didn't have enough of a track record yet to judge fully, but there were a number of pointless or poor waste-of-my-time-in-reading-them articles the last month or so, while under Linz the quality of articles was kept extremely high... an extremely important issue if Solo is to keep faithful readers and to maintain a reputation for quality. Quality matters.
