I've said it before and I'll say it again--assuming "conservative" linear growth, then SOLOHQ will achieve world domination (ie. membership >50% of the world population) by 2016!

Also, I LOVE the new home page details--bravo!

Actually Ed,

The plan is world domination by 2008.

I am glad that Joe reposted the Amazon link as I lost it when my computer crashed recently.

World domination by 2008? Doubtful the majority of the population be 'NT'(Myers-Briggs) by then. It seems objectivists cluster around that personality type. How many members do other objectivist fora have anyway?

I too, welcome the 'welcome message'. But I find myself having to nitpick the design - there seems to be too little "flow". I use Opera, though I think it would look the same for other browsers.
'Sense of Life Objectivists' and 'SOLO' are always underlined; this looks like overkill. The underlining could be limited to the first instance of the text.
The blockquoted middle part looks, well, 'blocky'. It can be removed for better "flow", and the entire welcome message could be given a light non-jarring background color if needed.
The pictures are inconsistent - Rand in monochrome, Statue of Liberty in color with background, a stoplight (!) in color with no background.
The font and font size of the text above are the same as the lists below. It could be made larger (or smaller for the lists) for proper emphasis.
'SoloHQ Stats' could be moved to the bottom of the lists, so the authors come before the stats.
The lists could look better centered rather than aligned left, with the author names slightly smaller than the titles.
These are of course, only my own observations, meant only for design feedback. Other people probably won't want a thing changed. And the artists who post here may have better ideas.

Overall, this site rocks. Considering the complexity of it all, the webmaster is doing excellent work. More power to the staff and admin!

I'd say the key ones are T and J. N vs S I'm not so sure - depends on whether someone focuses on abstracts and principles or context, context, context.

This is the web. On the web hyperlinks are traditionally underlined. To underline anything else is potentially confusing and should not be done.

The growth is truly awesome. In my experience, Solohq is the best site of its type that I have ever encountered. All of you who are responsible for it have my admiration.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.  The site is definitely complex, but we hope to continue to add new features to improve it.

Ross, that was...uh...nice.  Thank you?  You should check out some previous months if you liked this one.

Regarding Myers-Briggs NT and what-not, the causality is unclear.  It may be that it tests for what you want to be like, instead of what you really are.  I've heard of people changing over time to something they like better.  If that were the case, Objectivists sharing the same sort of Randian ideals might just end up all having certain similar qualities show up.

Another thought is that only certain types are interested in typical Objectivist forums, which generally include technical debates, periodic denunciations, leaps into hostility over esoteric topics, very abstract thinking (often rationalism), etc.  I know plenty of people interested in Objectivist ideas that just don't like participating in forums.  Is it possible that only the NT types (or whatever) find participation in typical Objectivist forums to be a pleasant experience?  Just random thoughts.
