David and everyone else thinking about coming in Thurs night,

I am not sure if anyone will be there Thursday night. We have the house from Friday, April 22nd at 4pm. If you arrive early, be sure to book a place to stay that night!

I noticed there are cooking classes listed as part of the activities -- is there a guest chef coming? :)

Seriously, at this moment I'm still not sure whether I can make it or not. I've got meetings scheduled in LA around that time, but the dates are not locked down yet, and may conflict with the conference. I've also got the "Food Oscars" in NY the following week.

If I can definitely come, I'm likely to confirm at the last minute (which is really any time now, given that we are a month away). Last time I looked it was January. Sheesh.

Another note - for those of you still making travel arrangements and who might need a ride from the airport, please try to fly into one of the closer airports. LAX is actually not that close to where we are staying.

What we will most likely do is offer pick-up/drop-offs to/from the airports for a price, like a shuttle bus or limo. Exact details will be determined later.

In the meantime, if you think you might be needing a ride, can you please e-mail me your flight info offline at ekatalin@yahoo.com? That will give me an idea of who might need rides.

I second Jason's posts although I have to admit I'm not prone to fits but the sentiment is the same. I'm hoping to be able to pull off going to this escapade but I too will not know until the last minute. It would be great to finally meet if we can pull it off.

I'm sure Wolfgang Puck can accept your Best Fruitcake award on your behalf--and Emeril's winning Loudest Piehole, no matter how hard you tried. Hi Ash, glad you'll be going.

As a general reminder to people, the beach house won't open until 4pm on Friday. So those showing up Friday morning might need to find something to do for a few hours. I recommend writing articles for SoloHQ. Or you can try meeting up with other early birds and hang out.
