Mike Dickey,

Thanks for sticking up for me. But, please feel free to ignore any further comments from Wolfer on the subject of 'Armaos' - when he returned to his base level of condescension, thumb nosing-arrogance, strawman tactics, psychologizing and potty talk of "cleaning plugged toilets", his posts ceased to be rational or worthy of any attention. Feel free to check out another thread where Steve accused me of sanctioning evil because I didn't vote Libertarian and he evaded the fact Rand did the same. He's also on numerous occasion "lost all respect" for me yet continues to indirectly attack me, sometimes directly, obviously showing his lack of integrity.

I followed the links that Aramos gave as 'proof' of my evilness - it showed quite the opposite.

It takes a special kind of clueless arrogance to think that. But considering the track record it's nothing new.

A college student could go on strike when he graduates with an automotive engineering degree and sees the industry has been nationalized. A small time business owner who has never netted more than minimum wage for himself, could go on strike,

And yet, in both of these cases you are still citing examples of people who have clearly demonstrated their productive ability within the fields they claim to be 'striking' from - proving the points John and I have been making all along.

Let's say that the college student, realizing before he actually started college that he would go on strike, decided instead to never go to college and earn that degree that proved he had the productive capacity. Instead he sat around all day and played video games, but claimed to be 'on strike'

You can go on strike while not having achieved productive genius level abilities, but you can't go on strike without having objectively demonstrated the ability you are withholding through your strike without being indistinguishable from an unproductive loser.

I am never quite sure why everyone gets all angry at everyone else here - I don't quite see it.  Maybe I skim some posts too fast as I tend to do that I never have enough time to read every detail.

Actually, I enjoyed the idea of "Going Glat" that Michael D. pointed out (see post 13) :)

I think that there are things happening in the US that while not on the verge, are becoming very dangerous.  In particular, and economic collapse could take us there, and our fiat currency is on the verge of collapse.  I have now become a believer in gold - though as the Austrians say a free market in currency rather than a set "gold standard" - In any case, we have big problems coming up, and Obama could push it all over the edge to come crashing down in a heap.

As to the strike issue - there are executives who quit, the architect he pointed out, etc that are legitimately "on strike" when they take such action - but yes it all depends on the context and reality of that particular situation.
