Ha-ha. Well, maybe I was fooled by "de-camouflage". But I thought the Russian bear wore a cap with a red star on it, like this.

Not to interrupt, but I am with C.Jeff on this and want to know exactly what "the American Spirit" might be.  Is it a new Pontiac or a pack of Marlboros?

It might be a spirited run to the federal government for an emergency loan.

As for the actual topic here, I like Ted as a person, even though we have our disagreements.  But, I am out of time here at the cybercafe and have to put off finding the perfect pussycat for his avatar.

Dean is right. I have several old profiles on RoR. Not because I'm trying to be super sleuth or anything, I was just lazy and forgetful with my passwords. You can check out my current profile now.

>That's what I figured, Erik.

>Merlin, that was a friggin scary picture! Putin indeed!

>American Spirit means just what you want it to mean. The poll is about the responders in this case, not about some objective determination, but about sense of life. A charismatic and accomplished woman of mixed premises, or an intellectual of mostly sympathetic principles. I like both in their own way - (and him much better as a congressman than as a problematic would-be executive) but I think I'd rather work with and for her.

I'd rather be married to her than to him. Does that help?
