Hong! Hi! :)

I took Branden's answer to mean that he though Kate got the question from crap Rothbard said.  Rothbard's is the only claim that Rand banned her students from reading certain books. Every claim that Rand banned books stem from Rothbard's uncorroborated claim of such.

I think his answer is appropriate, and correct.

Hong Zhang, I think that Branden answered the questions I asked.

First, I asked Branden if Rand forbade her students to read certain books. (In my actual letter to Branden, to explain to him why I would ask that question and whom else I had asked about it, I also mentioned having seen that claim in a widely reprinted article by Rothbard.)

Branden replied that Rothbard's statements about Rand were lies. Since Rothbard's statements about Rand included the statement I was asking about, Branden's description of those statements as lies logically includes the statement I was asking about.

Since my second question (about the possible existence of written proof of the alleged censorship) was conditional upon Branden's answer to the first question, the answer that Branden gave to the first question means that the second question cannot apply. (If someone states or implies that a particular event didn't happen, I cannot logically ask that person if he has any proof that the event happened.)
