Well done Cameron.  I am inspired to read more Hugo now.
Is the Doctor Who thing ironic or what? I watched Hartnell through to Tom Baker but after that couldn't get into it anymore. Cyber men are all around us!

Bloody bloggers. :-)

Just noticed that you don't appear to have offered a link to SOLO on your blog. An oversight?

Oh, yes, there is a link to SOLO (scroll down and to the right). It ranked lower than Chris Sciabarra's Not a Blog and Dr. Who, but at least it is higher that TOC. ;-)

Oh yes. Thanks Hong.

Perhaps I'd better have another drink and see if it sharpens up my eyesight. :-)

I think this is a clear indication that Linz needs to consider offering people jelly babies more frequently.

Always was a link to SOLOHQ, including several throughout the posts themselves. Better make that drink a double Peter!

And Hong -- my links aren't ranked, just listed in alphabetical order.

David -- I think a lot of people would agree that Doctor Who went into decline in the 1980s, pretty much after Tom Baker left the show after 7 years. Production values and quality of writing just weren't as good. But there are still some real gem stories from the 1980s. It appears that the BBC are putting much more effort and a great deal more resources into the new series of Doctor Who, which they have now *finally* realised the value of after 15 years off air. Seems they want to make it their Star Trek (ironically, I see that Star Trek has just been cancelled just as Doctor Who is about to return). There's plenty of money, an award-winning special effects team and some top notch names on the list of the production and writing team. The producer is Russell T. Davies, creator of Queer as Folk (the original British version) who whenever interviewed about the new series just seems to bubble with passion and excitement. So it's looking good.

Cameron, I was of course only joking. I'd give that SOLO can't complete with Dr. Who anyway. But now you also make me want to check out Dr. Sciabarra's Not a Blog!

I've always thought Diabolical is Dr. Who. Always off on another planet. Hahaha! And Daleks, Dialectics ... wot's the difference?! Hehehehe! Not to mention those endless battles with those evil [R]androids.

Great looking blog Cameron, I'm delighted to know that I am not the only Dr Who fan here :-)

The new series does look brilliant, and Christopher Eccleston is certainly going to make a terrific Doctor, though I am sorry that Paul McGann only got to play the Doctor for the one 90 minute special back in 1995 or so. On a picky point, it would be good if McGann does a cameo at the start of the new series to give the 8th Doctor a proper send off, but at the least I hope there is some explanation for the transition.

Congrats, Cam.  I'm sure we'll be blogging about one another's thoughts soon enough. :)

Hong:  I've been a little less productive over the past few weeks---posting mainly "Songs of the Day" in honor of film scores.  But check the archives.

Linz writes:  "I've always thought Diabolical is Dr. Who. Always off on another planet. Hahaha! And Daleks, Dialectics ... wot's the difference?! Hehehehe! Not to mention those endless battles with those evil [R]androids."

Drats!  Foiled again!  LOL

Dr. Who fans may find the following page of interest.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/doctorwho/

Note that this Tuesday evening 29 March (UK time) there will be a programme on Radio 2 which should interest you. (This can be streamed via the net). This is a repeat broadcast I believe. See the above link for more info.
