Ciro,

I'm not sure what you said, but I'll throw a thank you out there just for good measure. :)

Sarah,

I have two friends that I almost consider brothers. One of them is hardcore Muslim, and the other is a shaky Christian. Every time I see Ahmed we argue about everything that has to deal with philosophy or religion. I tell him why I think something is one way, he says something, I reply, and then he says I've contradicted myself, no matter what lol. He's not the smartest cat in the world, but he's still a good guy.

I'm not saying anything about people having to believe what Ayn Rand says, but there are things about anyone which tell you what they do believe. For instance, this Slovakian guy I work with is hilarious. He hates all these socialist and collectivist moves our government makes, and yet he is a devout Catholic. He's got the right ideas about reality, yet he still believes in GOD. Some of the premises he holds consciously contradict others he holds consciously and subconsciously. But despite everything he is wrong about, in my opinion, he is still a good person.

Joe, I think the story you're refering to was called "Flowers for Algernon." Except the tragedy was that it eventually wore off and he had to remember how it felt to be smart.

It also got adapted into a story in "Spider-Man's tangled web" featuring Rhino.
