I LOVE this pic! It reminds me of the scene from ROOTS where the baby is held up to the stars.
I nickname this piece "THE BIRTH OF A SPACEPLAYER."

I see that the photos are on Newberry Archive.

Michael N:

I am very grateful to you for your having told me about Stuart Mark Feldman - I consider him the best sculptor alive.

On another thread, you castigate Rozsa for having written more film music than concert music. Feldman also sculpts action figurines for mass production. Please comment.

I thought I recognized this.  I saw a photo of the whole collection, and thought it was marvelous.

The way this particular piece is shot, however, is a work of art in itself.  At first glance I thought it was a photo of real people.

Glad you all liked this.

Adam,

The “Newberry Archive” is the work of Brett Holverstott, I don’t know if it is temporary, may Brett will create a Feldman archive?

Thank you very much for joining me in appreciating Feldman.

You wrote: “…you castigate Rozsa for having written more film music than concert music. Feldman also sculpts action figurines for mass production.”

Your bad. I thought I was “castigating” Sciabarra for his view of Rozsa as an artist hero?

I wish Stuart all the best, happiness, and great success. If Stuart were in his teens I would, as a mentor, suggest…well, forcefully suggest, just has my mentor had done for me, use your art talent/genius only for what you want and think of it as making love.

Michael

Namesake,

Not much to say here. Stuart Mark Feldman's work is magnificent!

Now I want to see the sculptures up close.

Thanks for posting this.

Michael
