| | Hahahaha.
Just an update...
While we had quite an outpouring of votes in the final hours, it doesn't appear that we won. As they verify the final vote tally, the runaway winner seems to a very emotionally appealing entry by a nonprofit organization. They aim to buy a home in Orlando, Florida to give week-long vacations to young adult cancer patients and their families -- akin to the "Make-a-Wish Foundation." Certainly nothing wrong with that, and certainly tough competition in a contest like this.
I think we were hurt during the voting when the contest website went down for hours at the exact time that we were sending out our email appeals. I think a lot of folks tried to vote, couldn't, and gave up.
But I want to stress to all of you my gratitude for your support of the magazine. Let me reassure you that we are completing our new TNI website regardless, and aim to put it online early in 2008. It will contain cutting-edge interactive features, making it unlike any publication website you've ever seen.
So thank you all for taking the time to register your support. It means a whole lot to us that we have such a loyal group cheering us on.
Anyone who believes in what The New Individualist is doing is welcome to contact me directly. I'd be glad to discuss our objectives and plans, and how you can help make them a reality. Write me at: bidinotto (at) atlanticbb (dot) net.
Again -- my thanks to you for your support.
