Grape juice turns into wine; the ancients could not stop that from happening. Biblical folks drank wine, and wine is a form of spirits. I remember reading somewhere that they were called spirits because drinking wine helped one communicate with the spiritsJ .
The health benefits of wine, especially red wine, have been in the news for the last few years. I have always known growing in Naples, Italy, that wine is good. My father never prohibit me from drinking wine. (He always told me though, that wine is something to be enjoyed in moderation.
Too much of that and you become a ghost yourself, he used to say.)
