The final recording from the band known for launching the career of Sting. If I could only describe it with one word it would be mature. After several years and many albums they developed their style beyond the raw punk roots of their first album. Strong melodies that just suck you in so deeply you almost feel transported to another world. Even at it's bleakest: "there's a red fox torn by a huntsman's pack There's a Black winged gull with a broken back" it's inspiring and uplifting. On a downside many Objectivists may not be able to get past such lyrics as: "Another industrial ugly morning The factory belches filth into the sky He walks unhindered through the picket line today He doesn't think to wonder why." But if you can it is worth the effort. ---Landon | ||||
