I was very impressed with Bachman & Gingrich's criticism of the federal government, federal reserve, and freddy/fanny. It was such a relief to hear the valid criticism from not just libertarians like Ron Paul but from statist republicans too!

Dean,

Yeah, I forgot to mention how good Gingrich was when he raised his voice in moral condemnation of the media for failing to investigate the fed chairman regarding the secret power to disperse billions of dollars behind closed doors.

Ed

p.s. My Top-5 picks so far are:

1) Ron Paul
2) Herman Cain
3) Michelle Bachmann
4) Newt Gingrich
5) Rick Santorum

I don't like Cain because he doesn't want to end the Fed, I don't like Bachmann because of her stance on abortion, I don't like Gingrich because he at least used to believe in man-made global warming (and still appeases the 'greenies'), and I don't like Santorum because of his stance on abortion and because he would ramp up overseas contingency operations -- even if we were in an economic depression.

I like Cain. Granted he's not for ending the Fed, but all in all I think he's a good shot for some positive change. Bachman is just too much of a damned Christian idiot for my tastes. She even tried to turn Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan into the mark of the beast by musing about turning the numbers upside down.

That's hilarious! The woman has a sense of humor! In times like these, that could be an asset! ;-)

I just watched Fahrenheit 451 directed by Francoise Truffant, ahead of getting the book from the library. In this dystopia, the TV set plays dramas where the viewer is involved. The scripts are written to be vague enough to encompass any reply or none.

I like Bachmann... I like Cain... I don't like Gingrich...

"Tell us, cousin, who do you like? ... See, he agrees!"

Okay Mike, but Jody and I gave some specific issues, too. You make it sound like we're just emotionally spouting off, but that is not the case.

We didn't just smile and say we liked raspberry ice cream. I put my picks in order and even somewhat explained the reasons for the order. That's not just: "I like X, I don't like Y or Z." It's more like this:

"I like X more than I like Y and I do so primarily for these reasons, and I like Y more than Z primarily for these reasons."
