The new private firms will be competing against other enterprises. NASA is still in the market, of course. India had a satellite in orbit around Luna for a year and a few months ago, it dropped a robot to the surface to explore. China has had at least one astronaut. Japan has been in the business for 20 years. The ESA is also an experienced organization. And the Russians...
It cannot happen fast enough for me. I am happy for their successes.
