That was impressive.  I also liked this recent video which is reminiscent of the Paul Pott's phenomena a few years ago:

You mean the "phenomena" where the snobby judges and audience automatically judge someone (unfairly) by their appearance, and then are completely and utterly blown away by their talent?

Yes, I like seeing that, too.

Both of those videos were great. And I liked the British lady's sassiness during the interview (which of course, the judges found ridiculous and unfounded; they were like, "Who does she think she is?" while rolling their eyes. Until, of course, she began to sing....)

I don't watch much TV, so I had no idea.
I looked up Susan Boyle and I found Paul Potts

When it comes to instruments, I am not much for the human voice (or the vioilin), for me, it is a symphony or the piano, but both of those, I cried, and, yes, it was for the pre-judgment on looks.  You expect Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli to sound good.

The jump-rope thing was all right.  You expect young people to be springy and all.  In the 12th grade, we had phys ed 5 days a week (some law or other) and we learned a jump-rope routine that we called "the fairy dance" but it was good exercise and actually paid off at the jump rope speed drill and endurance test.  I can jump like a  pro. Even now, we have two ropes, but only one yoga mat.  So, the girls were cute, as girls always are, but the singers blew me away.
