Also of note is something for those skeptical of third-party candidates, or even of thirty-party ideas:

It's risky (sometimes even scary) to come out against pressure groups, just like it's risky not to. Here is Ron Paul coming out against a pressure group with which he has been associated in the past.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ozXztieoGk&sdig=1

It's no longer legitimate to call folks like David Frum conservatives -- because they have shown us that they are willing to sell-out on conservative values. In the same way, it is no longer legitimate to call Ron Paul a racist -- because he has shown that he is willing to throw racists under the bus.

In both cases, the definite and decisive actions of these men dictate how they should be judged -- regardless of any earlier or shaky impressions that we (as consumers of information) may have had about them.

TWIMC: I hope no one here puts me in the category of "those skeptical of third-party candidates [or] ideas"--those who do, please read more carefully. I am talking about this election, in which an especially dangerous candidate who rose via a mountain of force and fraud is running. All indications are that if he gets in he will move as quickly as possible to implement collectivism, and there can be no question of taking the smallest risk that he will get the chance.

Rodney, that same argument got us here. It has been the lesser of two evils since the Libertarian Party began... That would be in 1971 - it is going on its fourth decade!

Always, JUST this time because we CAN'T let [fill in the blank: George Bush, John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale, Jimmy Carter, George McGovern] get elected.

It will get worse and worse because that is what it does. When people make elections about pragmatic, stop-gap measures, instead of picking the candidate that best matches their principles the political culture continues to morph into something that less and less represents principles. No one guarantees a win, but at this time in history, at least we have a party that is registered in every state.

Dig in your heels, Rodney, and say, "No more!" Vote Libertarian.

I think the American population is too socialist for a libertarian candidate to win. I'm always wishing that elections used Preferential Voting so that people could vote for who they wanted to win and vote strategically for the lesser of two equals at the same time.

You are simply not following what's going on. What is now taking place is not really an election, but a coup. And this guy will have total control. Also, have you heard of ACORN? See the 2007 video in which Obama promises to give them a voice in his administration within the first 100 days, to help shape his agenda.

This is no ordinary voting process. This is an emergency. Obama has gone to tremendous lengths and expense to hide his background. He has received millions in illegal donations and funding. He has shuttled millions to far-left organizations. He has broken the Logan Act multiple times. He ran Odinga's pro-sharia compaign while a US senator. He helped the riots and bloodshed along when the campaign failed.

In all probability he was not even eligible to be a Senator, much less President.

The details are at Atlas Shrugs and the TD Blog, and also numerous other blogs.

Don't be stupid!

Obama is not much worse than McGovern:

From wikipedia:
"McGovern's platform also included an across-the-board, 37% reduction in defense spending over three years;[12] and a "demogrant" program giving $1,000 to every citizen in America[13] that was later changed to creating a $6,500 guaranteed minimum income for Americans ..."

From memory:
I read he wanted an across-the-board salary cap of $12,000 for all Americans.

Don't you find it strange that the mainstream media is full of horrified stories about Palin's wardrobe, but is devoid of any mention of the fact that Jerome Corsi has 25 emails between Obama and Odinga in which the former aids the latter in his pro-sharia campaign--while Obama was a sitting Senator?

Violation of the Logan Act is a felony--may even be treason.

Don't you find that disturbing?

Don't you find that eerie?

We have massive vote fraud. The courts and the press will not address this. And why is McCain even the nominee? The press sank Giuliani with its celebratory "he can't win now" coverage.

There are a lot of systems badly broken. The media, the educational system, the political parties... the negative synergistic effects may be too great to expect any turn-around. Not to be too cheerful or anything, but maybe we are slated for the next dark age before the culture can see a recovery - a rebirth of reason that could work. There is an increase in the speed of decline that comes at a certain point and it out-runs any attempt to make a fix. We may be at a point where all we can do is look back and, in hind sight, say that we should have been much more concerned with fixing education about 30 to 40 years ago - we should have tossed the Marxists out of the history and political science departments, and the assorted nuts out of the philosophy departments - now their students are today's intellectuals, media mavens, and professors.
