This is a really fascinating video. I love hearing you speak about your work and the thoughts behind it. I'd love to see more like this- to assist a layman like me to understand the compositional process that, piece by piece, adds up to a great work. The art itself stands alone, but through listening to an artist talk about the process we can understand a small part of the journey from initial spark to canvas. That adds to our appreciation, and is also much-needed fuel for our own creative endeavors. Thank you!

Hey Richard,

I appreciate your comments. The feedback is good to hear. Talking about one’s art is like walking a tightrope with an abyss of arrogance on one side, and chasm of disconnected thoughts on the other. A friend and I once had a drink with a shopkeeper on the island of Thera (Santorini), she told us that as a teenage acrobat she fell and literally “killed a customer!” I have a black sense of humor and I laughed so hard that I blew out half my drink through my nose. Of course she didn’t think it was funny. So not falling off, and keeping the audience happy and informed is a challenge.

Cheers,

Michael
