Joe,

When I open the SOLO HQ main page without having logged into the system, I get some sort of bizarre error notice and no content appears.  Are you working this?

It all appears well once I log into the system.  But a newcomer may have no idea how to do this.

Thanks Luther.  It's fixed now.  It was a feature that hadn't been used up until now, I guess.

Joe,

You have done sterling work with this web site. It is simply outstanding.

I recently moved to the Firefox browser which I prefer for numerous reasons. It does however not provide the formatting flexibility when posting on the SOLO site that IE does. The following message is displayed:

"You are using the Gimpy Netscape text box. For font changing, font-sizing, bold, italics, underline, links, block quotes, breaks, and HTML and Word pasting with formatting, please upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater."

I draw this to your attention for I suspect that over time, browsers such as Firefox will become more popular. I don't know whether this problem can be resolved via the SOLO site or whether it is related to the browser.

Thanks Julian.

Unfortunately, it's a limitation on the browser.  Internet Explorer has some really powerful features built in to it that just aren't available in the other browsers.  So for the other people, you can put html tags.  Things like <i>italics here</i>.

Since the SOLOHQ software is somewhat flexible, if someone can figure out how to do a more advanced posting box for Firefox or others, they can volunteer their services.

About the Firefox Text Box:

I like writing my own HTML when I need to. And it discourages exhibitionistic displays that the IE widget makes much too easy, since no one will go to the trouble of writing HTML except when really necessary to communicate something important enough.

I find the weird stuff that exhibitionists create with IE so distracting that sometimes I just can't read it at all.
