| | Barbara, sometimes it's better not to know such things. :) "Bling bling" is a rap term for big, gaudy, expensive jewelry, which can be seen on the necks, wrists, fingers and ears of every major rap star. It is a rite of passage for them to have the most diamond-encrusted platinum goodies as their money can buy.
Some things, however -- like class -- money cannot buy.
Oh, and "puttin' it down on the 1 & 2" is a d.j. (disk jockey) term for spinning records on two turntables. I know entirely too much about this after producing a hip-hop tour for Mountain Dew. Don't ask.
