| | I found the quote while reading The Teenage Liberation Handbook--a book that argues teens should quit school, and gives several ideas on how to leave legally and self-educate. The quote was in context of a chapter stating that not all teachers are bad--some vigorously fight the nature of the compulsory school system--but there are some people who want control over others, and it makes sense that some of these people gravitate toward teaching.
I have read Screwtape twice, and enjoyed it very much, though it's been a long while.
I'm currently reading Freedom and Beyond by John Holt, which I may review here, as it often pertains to adult freedom as well as education.
