Robert,

I agree with the above quote, but I am finding Bush less and less trustworthy. Why go through all this pretense at having the Iraqis draft their own Constitution? So they can adopt Islamic law? Why not demand unconditional surrender and draft a Constitution like we did in Japan? We've now gotten several hundred of our kids killed waiting around for these boneheads to form an Islamic government.

Also, I believe Bush and Cheney authorized the outing of that CIA operative. These clowns are even willing to play politics with people's lives. The only sure bet in all of this is to own Halliburton stock.

Sounds like someone has been spending too much time on Moveon.org. I believe that the whole scandel was cooked up by the CIA as a cover for there incorrect analysis of pre-war Iraq and inability to prevent Sept 11th. Perhaps I'm reading too much American Thinker?

Robert B. just posted a terrific article by Norman Podhoretz on his blog on the initial case for the war: http://www.commentarymagazine.com/Production/files/podhoretz1205advance.html
and why the WMD case was made in good faith.

Robert also published a terrific column on why we cannot politically support the Republicans any longer. Check it out. http://bidinotto.journalspace.com/

I agree.  And here is a scandal that ought to be investigated:  British Intelligence informs the CIA that lunatic madman Hussein is trying to acquire uranium -- and  the best response the CIA can muster is to send the husband of one of their Washington-based agents?!?  What the hell is the CIA doing with its multi-billion dollar operations directorate budget?

Michael - you write: "What the hell is the CIA doing with its multi-billion dollar operations directorate budget?"

Actually, sending a real diplomat is the reasonable thing to do when the alternative would blow the cover of an actual agent.
