| | I like the broad array of choices here. Much better than some of the either/or choices from previous polls.
The choice "the federal government would likely screw up any attempt to intervene, and likely inflame the populace, who are understandably wary of foreign interlopers given their history, and especially wary of the U.S. considering what happened in Iraq" wasn't available.
Went with "We have no business interfering" as the closest approximation to this, but "Careful, don't want to give regime any excuses" or "Words of support are okay, but material support is wrong" seem like reasonably close statements, too.
