| | Don't get me wrong. "The Overton Window" is a bad book and I don't recommend it to anyone. It is just a recast of his TV program with all the religiosity embedded. If you take that out of it, what remains is populist pap, but some of those uninitiated readers might become at least curious about a real understanding of the forces assaulting us. The poem was something that surprised me and gave me an appreciation of Kipling as someone who had extraordinary insight. The "thriller" aspect wasn't exactly that, but I must say, there was an occasional turn of phase that grabbed my attention.
