I like this a lot. It engages the senses. I have several school 'readers'..this poem should be in them for all grades up to h.s. It would make the courage and heroism of Columbus, Magellan, etc. real to students.

Marty, when I'm ready to create my own 'reader', we'll talk.

Marty, I usually don't like poetry because it is far too often abstruse. Yours is both clear and delightful. Thank you.
