I've also read George R.R. Martin, he's damn good too. Another author you may like is Robert Jordan and his Dragon Reborn series, now those are some complicated books, fun.
I don't like Robert Jordan (if you mean THE Robert Jorden of Wheel of Time-fame). He just recycled old storylines over and over again until you get bored (after book 3 ;) ). But I also liked Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams (really a magnificient ride through a phantastic world) and I'd also recommend the Stormwarden (by Wurts), although it might be a bit too esoteric for Objectivists. Still, she has a very bright mind and always describes everything down to the details.
At last, for the Fans of Science-Fiction, I'd recommend Hyperion by Dan Simmons, who is rather complicated, but still an interesting SF read, although more Fantasy than SF here.
