The Jews were not rounded up and sent to concentration camps because of a shortage of bread!  The Nazis believed them an inferior race and believed that it was acceptable to wipe that race off the planet.  And to equate America and the American government with the Nazis is shameful in its degree of moral blindness.

Super-patriots here are enamored of the power of their handguns. Imagine if the Jews of Germany had had guns and used them against Nazi thugs. How would the Jewish minority of Europe have fared against an anti-Semitic majority in open warfare?

Where does this absurdity come from?  Is "Super-patriot" a political category or ideological group that I'm not familiar with? What are the political principles behind that term?

And is the implication here that governments shouldn't allow people to own guns?  And is the 'logic' here that the Jewish minority of Europe were better off being herded into concentration camps and gassed rather than to be allowed the choice of defending themselves?  Is this an issue where the moral principle is to see who has the majority, and to take away the guns of the minority to protect them?  How disgusting!
