| | I too have disagreements with Joel on probably most topics he posts on - quantum mechanics, war, and absolutely on theism - but to label him a 'troll' is not warranted.
His defensive points in this thread are simple and appear to make sense. 'A' is distinct from 'the'. 'Minarchy' is a more central concern than whether someone believes a constitutional republic, constitutional monarchy or some other specific mechanism would be the best means to stably achieve it. I've also seen Joel occasionally elsewhere post ideas that are thought-provoking even if not something I agree with. Even in this thread he posted real, useful information; I was never aware of that network visual maps site and it is actually a pretty impressive visualization tool (and I wish something similar existed for non-leftist organizations). Regardless of him having some invalid ideas, a troll Joel is not.
