| | I hate stories like these. Or maybe I like the stories, but I hate the people who bring these kinds of lawsuits. If I ran WalMart, I'd ask the now suddenly-concerned family why they didnt have her committed for her own safety, or why a family member wasnt assigned 24 watch over her, if she was such a danger to herself. WalMart did everything it could--mental health records are not generally available when doing a gun background check, and the woman had no criminal record.
Finally, what's wrong with blowing your brains out if that's what you want to do? I mean, it sounds like she had all of the medication and all of the couselling available. So seriously, if she was that miserable, and really wanted no more of life, then why screw around? It would have been dancing on the freeway, hanging, pills, if not the relatively quick certainty of a gun.
