Heh, my favorite part of this movie has to be the part where Vinny asks Lisa how his hunting clothes look (paraphrasing):

"Imagine this... you're a deer, you're frolicking in the woods. You get a little thirsty so you go to a little brook, you put your head down for a drink of the cool, clear water... BAM! A fuckin' bullet rips off part of your head! Your brains are lying on the ground in little bloody pieces!

Now I ask ya: Would you give a fuck what kind of clothes the sonovabitch who shot you was wearing?"

Good pick, Bob. When I was about 13 or 14 I watched this movie over and over again. I think it may even have contributed to a short-lived ambition to become a lawyer!

"youts"

hehehehe

Actually there's a great contrast between Vinny's expertise and the court appointed defence attourney's expertiese in the movie as well.

Excellent movie! I enjoy the movie even more after working in the court system for the past ten years. Vinnie is especially hilarious. The interaction between him and the judge is first rate. The whole grits sequence is equally laughable.

Funny, I think I had a leather jacket and boots just like Vinnie's a few years back.

I agree, excellent movie! Saw it in the theater and still watch it all the time now on tape. I think I know all the lines.

The best thing was, growing up in Jersey, I saw the movie in high school many times, and then not really again until late in my college years (which was out of state). It was only then that I realized Lisa had an accent in the movie! I found it hillarious I'd never noticed before.

My favorite scene was Lisa's response to Vinny when they were on a porch, with him sitting on a bench in his leather jacket and boots (in this small podunk town) and her in her brightly colored toreadors and 'big city' blouse and jacket, when he complains to her about how she dresses here and oughtta dress a little better for the place.

Lisa (hands on hips, chewing gum like a NY'er, and nodding): "Yeah...like, *you* blend!"

It really shows some of the genius of Joe Pesci. He's just as good in With Honors.
