See, sometimes you must look underneath the facts, and see them for what they are. This is Cuba strengthening socialism by making it more perfect.

Trust him on that.

Not that he explains why in this porno...

"This is survival economics," says Jaime Suchlicki, director of the Institute for Cuban Studies at the University of Miami. "They don't have liquidity, and have a lousy economy."

"They won't be absorbed by the private sector because there is no private sector to absorb them," he said.

The guy would look more fitting in a Santa Claus suit. His only concern is distributing the goodies.

Ha! Well, a red suit anyway.

But poor abused Santa; he's not the one pushing forced association.

You know what I love about the Salvation Army at Christmas time? They are the embodiment of asking, not telling.

And whenever I see one of those askers, I dig deep, selfishly, in my personal celebration of asking and not telling. I'm a heartless bastard. I don't do it to help the poor; I do it to celebrate asking.

It's a dieing American tradition.

Fred

Merlin, you don't do justice to Santa.

Santa has his employees make the gifts which he then voluntarily distributes to meritorious children.

This is the guy who walks into Santa's workshop with a gun and decides who most "deserves" the gifts. Santa's workshop has been appropriated by the "People".

Good one. I didn't think about the color.

In his case a Santa Claus suit is the perfect cover-up. Underneath is the mind of a thug. Kyle, I hope that clarifies my first post.

Why has there been no national campaign to change Santa's suit to 'blue?'

It was an absolute necessity for the national reporting of electoral results, freshly changed over as recently as the 2000 elections.

Folks are quickly forgetting that the Dems used to be the red states...going back forever.

Look how deep the Left's every front campaign is. Even the most trivial of details -- the silly optics over being associated with the failed Commies -- is not too little to take care of a national basis.

This is living in pre-Hitler Germany, or anywhere in 20th century Europe during the local turf war among competing totalitarian "We are all in this together ... the great Volksgemeinschaft ... ein Volk, ein Reich, ... ein Furher" progressive progression of People's Worker Paradise Parties about to bleed the species...again and again and again, like mindless clockwork.

The Progressively Worsts have just been at this battle longer; like a hundred years. Conservative freedom lovers have mostly been enjoying their dwindling freedom, not organized in any resistance, and barely engaged.

It's been observed that I am a pessimist; not really, or else I'd shut up. But I do believe trends will get worse before they get better, and the tone of my writing reflects my assessment of current trends, period. We are still sprinting downhill, IMO.

But look at these guys; they are totally inept. They've been actively at it for almost a hundred years. They keep having to bite their lips, and deny who they are when the appear in any light of day. They are still apologizing for who they are, and in open denial. Obama, you see, is not really a socialist! For 'real' socialists (how many times have we heard that applied to some hot mess?)Obama is not nearly socialist enough.

Once in a great while, a Laurence O'Donnel sticks his head out from under a moist rock and thinks now is the time in America when it is finally possible to stand up and proudly say "I am a Marxist/Socialist/Progressive/Communist!"

That is the sign that it is time to start to pay attention, and when we do, we notice that the GOP has not.

Paid attention.

I'm optimistic that when our best go up against their best on the battlefield of actual ideas, freedom still has a shot in America, and that debate hasn't happened nearly often enough. The modern GOP is not that best. The best is and has been out simply living its life, far from weasel politics and with each passing assault on freedom, more of it is noticing the internal nature of the threat to freedom in this nation is coming precisely from its entrenched political classes.

The TeaParty was the first awakening of that fact. I've got hope that there will be a stronger second wave freshly focused up. We need to reread the constitution and leave the religious fog in church, where it belongs. Before we can have freedom of religion, we need to have freedom, and that is where the focus needs to be especially if we love our freedom of religion. Otherwise, we will soon all be forcefully worshipping at the Church of Progressivism, defined clearly by the Scott Nearing's of last century.

In the wake of the coming crash, when we actually do hit bottom and the only way to finally go is up, our fringe side might be late to the battle by a hundred years, but we show up with something they clearly don't have; competence, and no fear of the light of day, like their vampire religion which hasn't been able to proudly proclaim its name ever among decent Americans.

Merry Christmas!

Ho ho ho...

regards,
Fred
