Was Ayn Rand an acquaintence/lover of Philip Rothschild?

I read some drivel about "Atlas Shrugged" being something akin
to the Anti-Christ handbook. As proof/evidence it suggested that she was commissioned to write Atlas Shrugged as a blueprint for their plans for world domination.

As I explained thought the theory was drivel BUT I also realize that a lie is best sandwiched between two truths I wonder if Ms Rand did have a relationship with P Rothschild.

I would explain some of the great man worship evident in her writings.

Rand's life has been well picked over biographically, and so have the Rothschilds'. The story would have been out decades ago if it were even plausible, let alone true.

Do you mean the Baron Phillippe who owned Mouton? Wish I could believe it.

I can't understand why anyone who has any respect for reason would post that kind of ugly nonsense. If you have read Atlas Shrugged you would know that any statement referring to it as an anti-christ handbook was nonsense. If you consider the suggestion "... that she was commissioned to write Atlas Shrugged as a blueprint for their plans for world domination" as "proof/evidence" then the handbook you desperately need is the one on reasoning. You willingly claimed credit for that "insight" that maybe Rand was in a relationship with Rothchild? Unbelievable!

As for Rothschild, here is the wikipedia article: Philippe Rothschild. Rothschild certainly seems more her type than did Frank O'Connor.

As for the folks who favor no discussion whatsoever on the matter. It was simply a matter of something I read but disregarded the thesis.

However I did wish to verify what the author stated i.e the alleged relationship. Was it ever acknowledged by either party?

If someone knew of it to be factual...I would like to know. Looks like I touched a hotbutton.

It's still fun to imagine. Frank O'Connor, Joan Blumenthal and Jos� Miguel Capuletti would do Mouton labels. Dagny would be a winemaker, Rearden a supplier of limousin oak barrels and Roark a maitre de chai. After a certain stage of economic and technological retrogression people would be reduced to stamping out each new vintage with their feet.
