Good post also David Elmore,

David said...

It takes courage to face the reality of death and to realize that it is your life until then that is the only thing that will ever matter in the vast time/space scheme of the universe. It takes courage to laugh in the face of death -- so to speak.

To this I would add: it takes courage to really live, most people are not even alive, sometimes we have to stick the mirror under their nose. I've always thought the atheism with a healthy consciousness that learns to attack the challenges of life, and enjoy the attacking, is always a million times more spiritual then any religion. Spiritualize the physical. The only true spiritual person in my eyes is one who always puts this world and life first, because there are no others.

David, Jason, and Michael ---

You each provided some great posts above.  It was a pleasure reading them.

Shane, I am always amazed that few people seem to understand that there is no enterprise as spiritual as living your life well in this world and in this life.

Thanks y'all for the birthday greetings (Kitten, Marcus, Robert, Jennifer and Shane).

I didn't die - still here. So lets eat, drink and be merry some more!

Belated Happy Birthday too, MSK! I bring cake!

I fervently hope these birthday greetings do not get posted as a matter of habit on threads from Bible verses....

Here's to "Drink, drink, and be drinking for tomorrow...."
