After twenty years of running the local Objectivist discussion group in Merritt Island, Florida, the core members have mutually agreed the time has come to disband.
We are all growing older, a cornerstone member passed away earlier this year at the age of 81, grandchildren now preoccupy another member of age 68, and the rest of us likewise find ourselves occupied with other interests of higher value to us now that we are older.
I truly appreciate the support everyone offered over the last twenty years under this group's various names and formats, and all the great learning both intellectually and socially that took place. Ayn Rand created a truly magnificent philosophy for living on Earth. As a space buff, I can say it is also a philosophy for living elsewhere, too.
