Nature,

God, I love this book... But did you know that the author has since died?

Jeez, you guys — with reviews like this I just had to order a copy.

If it isn't as great as you say, you're in my bad books.    :-)

Sam,

Well, let's be clear up front... It isn't some white-knuckled thrill ride, but it's the most interesting and endearing book on math that I think you'll find.

Orion/Nature:

I'm now well into this book and it's a pleasure to read ... and it's a great reference, as well.

Thanks for recommending it.

Sam

Sam,

I'm glad you like it!  Isn't it great?!

My only complaint about the book, is the quality of the illustrations, and I'm not exactly wild about the text fonts, either.
