Thanks for pointing that out. I had been wondering whether I needed to keep redefining my terms in the various parts of this series of articles - articles should, after all, stand on their own feet. Perhaps I'll put "See part X" from now on.
That said, Phil did read the first part and commented on it if I recall correctly (though I'm not certain, there appears to be a crack in my memory).

I can say I was absolutely stuffed when I got to SOLOC4 - I got little sleep on the plane that flew twelve and a half hours overnight across the Pacific to LA - but Linz soldiered on long into the night (true to form) having made a similar flight hours earlier. Perhaps he can sleep on planes.
