I really like this one Mr. Newberry, well done.   Despite its muse of mourning, it seems to me to be coming to life.  The arm and leg closest to us exibit greater detail and shadowing than the rest of the body, almost as though its becoming real.  The shadowing lines seem also to add a motion of the picture that intentionaly or not seems to be displaced by the man.

I would buy this picture off you if I thought I could afford it, I know I cannot, as a student I have no spare cash to even begin to make an offer.  But if I could afford it I would buy it and display it in view of the public.

Perhaps some day I will come calling.

Regards,

Eric J. Tower.

Michael. Thank you for posting this. I was moved by the drawing, and by your tribute.

You are a very generous artist.

John
