Micheal, I think that the use of light is really intriguing in that it accentuates the breast/chest of the woman and yet the face is hidden in shadow which creates an atmosphere of intrigue and passion. Is this a study for a new painting of yours? Are there any more sketches of different poses?

Adam,

So happy that a work of mine could bring you out of your conceit or is it conceit? haha.

I am not sure the piece is strong enough for me to invest the time for a painting...plus I think the model would kill me for making her hold her arms like that for 60 hours. But it is doable.

Right now I am finishing up five major works, 3 of them female nudes...I am not contemplating my next major works...hmmm, what next?...the ascension of woman over Islam? Perhaps a philosopher being tortured by the weight of all Kant's books placed like bricks on their stomach? Naw, that should be a cartoon. Actually, I won't paint anything cynical or political...I have thought about what paradise on earth for humanity might look like, since it would involve architecture perhaps I will do a collaboration with Cresswell...

Email me and tell me what you are working on.

Cheers,

Michael

Nothing can fully take away my conceit (even if I have misspelled it on occasion). :)

I would love to get a model to come in and pose for me. Being that I'm a composer, I don't think the idea would fly. The collaboration idea sounds fantastic. If anything comes to fruition, I hope everyone on SOLO will be able to see it.

Right now, I'm working on writing extended works for string orchestra, orchestra, as well as extensive chamber music piece for flute, cello, violin, and piano. I am also in the process of launching my own web site which should be finished by January. Some of it is already up at www.musicatb.com

Me too:

- Numerous Adonis-like men with little chest hair, preferably Greek/Italian

- A table overflowing with fruits, cheeses, wine, meats, and all sorts of delicacies

- A string quartet

- Me

Let me know when you're ready to start.  ;)

Please tell me you have a pianist figured into that vision as well. ;)
