| | Yaron Brook is awesome. Reading the wikipedia entry on him, amazingly there is no negative criticism. I enjoyed the video, of him cutting to the chase and very clearly and elegantly making the point that the fundamental ethical question that determines whether a person wants obamacare, (whether a person wants the producers to pay for those who need) is whether other's needs should be a higher priority than your own self interest. By the questions asked by the audience its clear that he was not speaking to objectivists, but to a general public that is dissatisfied with the Fed Gov, and at the end of his speech he is cheered with a standing ovation! : )
Many times in his speech he contrasts "other's needs" vs "one's own goals/rational self interest". I'd like to comment that I've got this automatic cringe reaction every time I hear the word "need". : P (Edited by Dean Michael Gores on 9/19, 3:03am)
