Oh Where, Oh Where, Did All The Doctors Go?

My latest blog entry discusses the brain-drain that has been occurring in South Africa. It is also another parable of mandatory community service in action.

To All Innocent Fifth Columnists

I was recently introduced to an article written by Ayn Rand in 1941 which I had not read before. In it, she encourages intellectuals to organize in support of individualism as the only means of successfully fighting totalitarianism. This piece is fully applicable today, identifying the exact nature of our current battle for freedom. Read my piece which includes a link to the full article.

Jeffrey,

Hadn't visited your site in some time. You've been busy, and I hope you keep up the good work. I definitely think something much more substantial needs to be done. I would like to see the Demogogues crying and wringing their hands even before the next election, and to see a loud, public national cry to declare this monstrous bill unconstitutional.

What we need is grass roots and brass balls.

Thanks Jay.

I'm working on tactical plans for future actions, as are many others all across the country. I think things are going to explode in 2010 as we head towards the mid-term elections.

In the meantime, I strongly suggest that everyone write and call their Congresscritters on a frequent schedule. I have been calling all of Ben Nelson's phone numbers today and could only get through to one sorry person who had to listen to my diatribe for 15 minutes, while being interrupted every 20 seconds by another call coming in! All of the other district offices and the main DC numbers were off the hook or directed to full mailboxes. :-) I think he is experiencing a bit of blowback. Here is a letter I sent to him yesterday:

-----------------------------------------------
Senator Nelson:

I read in the paper today that you have bargained away my personal freedom, and the freedom of every other American citizen, for some monetary goodies for your state. You intention to vote for the Senate health care bill has earned you a place in my personal ninth circle of hell, as a traitor to the US Constitution and to the ideals of individual liberty upon which this country was established.

Although not a resident of your state, I now pledge to give my financial and intellectual support to seeing that you are removed from Congress by the 2012 election - or sooner.

You are a disgrace.

With disgust,
--
C. Jeffery Small

-----------------------------------------------

You may have heard about RI Senator Sheldon Whitehouse's remarks, calling all GOP Senators and anyone else who opposes the health care legislation as racists. Here is the letter I just sent to him:

-----------------------------------------------
Senator Whitehouse:

I have been reading about your comments:

"The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups, it is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist." etc., etc.

As one of the many, many people opposed to the health care legislation, I take great offense at your categorizing me, and all the rest of us who disagree with your views, as racists. Where do you get the balls to make a public statement like this? You have no idea who I am, and yet you lump me into a group and make offensive remarks. If anyone made a remark like this against black people, they would be censured by Congress and possibly forced to resign their office. However, when you categorize everyone who disagrees with you as a racist, are you supposed to simply receive a pass? If you had any shame at all, you would resign the Senate immediately. I think you owe me a personal apology. And you should apologize to every other liberty-minded American who opposes your health care bills on constitutional grounds, and not because of some totally unfounded racial hatred of our President. For being able to utter these comments, you have laid bare your true soul, revealing the disdain for humanity that lies within.

I see that you are up for reelection in 2012. Even though I am out of your state, I am now going to put my intellectual and financial resources behind an effort to have you removed from office. You have demonstrated that you know nothing about the US Constitution and the guaranteed individual rights of every citizen, and are consequently unfit to serve in Congress.

Sincerely,
--
C. Jeffery Small

-----------------------------------------------

The negative backlash against these and other specific actions by the people in Congress should keep them sitting on pins and needles. There is a very small chance at this point that we can stop the health care bill, but we must keep trying. We can undo some of the damage done after the 2010 elections. But keeping up the pressure will certainly retard the willingness of many of these people to vote on other controversial legislation. Add your voice to the growing cry for liberty.

Regards,
-
Jeff

Important!

I would like to direct everyone to my most recent article, because it discusses some recent news that everyone should be aware of. Barack Obama's outfit, "Organizing for America", is using the government schools as a recruiting center in an effort to put together an army of youths to be trained to go out and push Obama's agenda for health care, energy and education reform.

Pam Geller broke this story Saturday, on her website Atlas Shrugs, and I have provided an overview of the most important information along with an analysis of the meaning and implications. Please read this and then take appropriate countermeasures, including spreading the story as widely as possible. It is important that we generate a loud public outcry against this abomination.

Obama Continues to Organize his Youth Army!

Proceed with caution. www.barackobama.com looks official, but it doesn't actually claim recognition or authorization.  Obama is trying, none too successfully, not to cut a leftist image these days, so I doubt that he or his people are behind this.  Pam Geller is not an established news source.  On the other hand, Obama outlined such a scheme during his campaign (it's on YouTube somewhere).  A more precise phrasing of #30 would be: if Beck picks the story up, we'll know it's for real and it probably will, deservedly, become a big issue.

Geller is cited at Drudge, RCP and Breitbart. She is more reliable than much of the MSM, and is certainly not toxic if you verify what she reports. The fact that she was deleted from wikipccedia almost immediately upon being listed speaks well of her.

Pamela Geller is a blogger who writes for Arutz Sheva and lives in New York City. She has published interviews of prominent conservatives, especially of people critical of Islam, including those of Bat Ye'or and Robert Spencer. She used to be associate publisher of the New York Observer.[1] She recently began hosting the show "Voices of Freedom" on KFNX.
Her blog is named after Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. Geller says Rand is "the greatest philosopher in human history." She said "I read the book in my early 20s when a close friend of mine whom I respected enormously casually mentioned it was her favorite book." Describing her blog, she said "My blog is, and its purpose is, clearly defined by Rand's philosophy."[2]
She has has warned other bloggers to add security to their websites to prevent what she calls "cyber Jihad".[3]
Her ex-husband, an auto czar, was criminally investigated for conducting a million-dollar scam.[4]

Peter:

If you look at the splash page for www.barackobama.com, you will see the statement: "Paid for by Organizing for America, a project of the democratic national committee." This is the revamped site of mybarackobama.com (used during the presidential campaign) and that domain name links to this site now.

So the site was intimately linked with Obama in the past, and if he was not supporting this organization's activity, he certainly should have contested their use of the domain name which implies his sanctioned support.

Multiple people in different geographic locations have acknowledged having their children receive the documents, so it appears to be legitimate.

And as you said, this is activity right up his alley, so it certainly is reasonable to assume that it is being done with his knowledge and support.

But I'm sure that if the crap hits the ecologically friendly wind powered generator, BO will deny any knowledge of or participation in the project.

He's nothing if not plausibly deniable!
