This being my first such endeavor, I welcome any comments.  Good or bad.    Thanks.

Jason, the only thing I would do is unpack what "legislation should be based on individual rights only" means. That's an abstract sentence that would be crystal clear to an Objectivist. Individual rights is a well-defined concept to us, as well as how it would apply to anti-discrimination laws. But it wouldn't necessarily be so to the readers. Better to follow it with: "the individual has a right to associate with who he wants, and that means even the right to discriminate against us."

Jason,

Considering the maxim that "what can be said in fewer words, ought to be"--that was an awesome letter to submit! Bravo!

Thanks to everyone who commented!

I'm pleased to see my brevity was effective.  The irony is that I submitted this through a "Sound off!" feature on the website and didn't intend it as a full-fledged LTE (although I considered that it *might* be published).  For that reason I was careful to keep my comments brief.

Phil, your point is well taken.  Keep the audience (and their knowledge) in mind.  Thanks.

Jason
