Blatant Example of Leftist Media Bias - CNN/Reuters
Posted by Pete on 8/14, 8:28pm
It is always important to be on the lookout for slanted journalism which pretends to be objective or neutral - the biases can lean towards nearly any end of the political spectrum depending on who's reporting.

The following news blurb about Lance Armstrong is a prime example of unwarranted editorializing.  The implication of the article summary is that Lance Armstrong believes that the U.S. should divert the money it spends on the Iraq war towards cancer research (which may or may not be his actual belief).  However, the article goes to specifically quote Armstrong as saying  "I'm not saying that spending on wars and terrorism is a bad thing."  That is the only mention he makes of the war - the rest of the article focuses on how he simply thinks the government should be doing more than it currently is (which is to the tune of billions annually already).  There is absolutely no other reason to bring in the Iraq spending issue into this article except to build a case against it.
