| Well, I'm encouraged that the number of believers has dropped from 77% to 44% in 36 years - proof that intelligent life exists in the British Isles! The churches there must be very worried. While I don't have the latest stats from the US on belief in God, I'm sure the number of true believers is significantly higher among Americans. An international survey earlier this year revealed that 54% of Americans attend church regularly, compared with only 21% of Britons. Depressingly, it's going to be a long time before a self-declared atheist wins presidential office in the US... | ||
