 | If you like a really hip, very clever, funny, action thriller, with the nastiest villians you've ever seen and some of the best heros and heroines, plus a thousand turns and twists that will force you to watch it ten more more times just to get every nuance, this is IT!
This is one of my fave all-time movies. (The 2nd time, I suddenly realized that it was in Japanese with Englich subtitles - it's that good!) I saw it four times at the theatre and then bought the DVD and watched it at least twice more. Now I've put off watching it again just to savor the experience next time.
Imagine a SciFi action movie in which a twelve year old girl grabs center stage by shear force of pure gold acting and holds it without a pause or glitch, an utterly flawless performance as the lead character, a warrior from the future come back to rescue humanity, who accomplishes her mission by means of out-thinking both friend and foe at every turn, tricking both other characters and the audience repeatedly, so that thirty minutes later you're saying, "Oh my god, so THAT's what was really going on, right in front of my nose."
Just pure enjoyment!
