Judith IJudith I
Gustav Klimt

This painting by Gustav Klimt embodies dignity and cold calculation in the persona of the, yes, Biblical character of Judith, who beheaded the enemy leader Holofernes, whose armies threatened her father's tribe.

But all this aside, what I've always admired about Klimt is his love of geometry, geometrical relations, and his willingness to distort natural forms in order to make apparent the geometric relations between them.

No matter his work, Klimt's aim was always to dignify everything to the utmost... landscapes, people, you name it.
