This is a proud statement of defiance in response to the September 11th tragedy. Amid the desolate rubble of the World Trade Center, which should have, in the terrorists' designs, brought about despair and hopelessness, stands a solitary fireman, with his hands proudly on his hips, determined to dispose of the mess and regain mastery of the situation. Though he is fysically small in comparison with the heap of debris, his spirit, represented by the bald eagle, towers over the scene. And, to add to the formidability, the eagle's wings are still closed and it is still crouching. It has yet to spread to its full height and then soar upward!
